Ear Procedures
-
Ear Tube Placement
A minor surgical procedure where small tubes are inserted into the eardrums to allow air into the middle ear and prevent fluid buildup. Commonly performed on children with recurrent ear infections or persistent fluid.
-
Ear Surgery (Tympanoplasty)
A surgical procedure to repair a hole or tear in the eardrum (tympanic membrane). This procedure restores the integrity of the eardrum and may improve hearing that has been affected by the perforation.
-
Ear Wax Removal
A procedure to safely remove excess or impacted cerumen (ear wax) that can cause hearing loss, tinnitus, and discomfort. Our specialists use specialized instruments and techniques for safe removal.
-
Mastoidectomy
A surgical procedure that removes infected or abnormal air cells within the mastoid bone behind the ear. Often performed to treat chronic middle ear infections, cholesteatoma, or other conditions affecting the mastoid area.
-
Stapedectomy
A microsurgical procedure to treat otosclerosis, a condition causing hearing loss. The fixed stapes bone is removed and replaced with a prosthesis to restore sound transmission and improve hearing.
Nose & Sinus Procedures
-
Balloon Sinuplasty
A minimally invasive procedure that uses a small, flexible balloon catheter to open blocked sinus passageways, restoring normal sinus drainage without removing tissue or bone. Often performed for chronic sinusitis patients.
-
Endoscopic Sinus Surgery
A procedure using an endoscope (a thin, flexible tube with a light) to view and operate on the sinus passages. This surgery removes diseased tissue, polyps, and opens blocked passages to improve breathing and sinus function.
-
Septoplasty
A surgical procedure to correct a deviated septum by straightening the nasal septum. This improves airflow through the nose and may alleviate breathing difficulties, frequent nosebleeds, and recurring sinus infections.
-
Turbinate Reduction
A procedure to reduce the size of the turbinates, structures inside the nose that can become enlarged and block airflow. Treatment may involve radiofrequency reduction, outfracture, or partial surgical removal.
-
Rhinoplasty
Surgery to reshape or repair the nose for functional or cosmetic purposes. Functional rhinoplasty addresses breathing problems, while cosmetic rhinoplasty focuses on appearance. Often, both functional and cosmetic issues are addressed simultaneously.
Throat & Voice Procedures
-
Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy
Surgical removal of the tonsils and adenoids, often performed to treat recurrent throat infections, sleep-disordered breathing, or obstructive sleep apnea. This procedure can significantly improve quality of life and reduce infections.
-
Laryngoscopy
A procedure using a laryngoscope to examine the larynx (voice box) and vocal cords. May be performed to diagnose voice disorders, throat pain, difficulty swallowing, or suspected cancer. Can be direct (surgical) or indirect (non-surgical).
-
Vocal Cord Surgery
Procedures to treat vocal cord lesions like polyps, nodules, or cysts that affect voice quality. May involve microsurgery to remove growths or repair damage while preserving voice function. Often combined with voice therapy.
-
Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP)
A surgical procedure to remove excess tissue in the throat to treat severe obstructive sleep apnea. Targets the uvula, part of the soft palate, and sometimes the tonsils to widen the airway and reduce obstruction during sleep.
-
Laryngeal Surgery
Various surgical interventions for the larynx (voice box) to treat conditions such as tumors, vocal cord paralysis, or traumatic injuries. May include laser surgery, microsurgery, or more extensive procedures depending on the condition.
Head & Neck Procedures
-
Thyroid Surgery
Surgical removal of part or all of the thyroid gland. Performed to treat thyroid nodules, goiter, hyperthyroidism, or thyroid cancer. May involve partial (lobectomy) or complete (total thyroidectomy) removal of the gland.
-
Parotid & Salivary Gland Surgery
Surgical procedures to remove tumors or address other conditions affecting the parotid or other salivary glands. Requires precise techniques to preserve facial nerves and maintain both function and appearance.
-
Neck Mass Removal
Surgical excision of abnormal growths in the neck area. May be performed for diagnosis or treatment of conditions ranging from benign cysts to cancerous tumors. The approach depends on the size, location, and suspected nature of the mass.
-
Lymph Node Biopsy
A procedure to remove part or all of a lymph node for examination. Performed when abnormal lymph nodes are detected to diagnose conditions like infection, immune disorders, or cancer. May be excisional (removing entire node) or incisional (removing part).
-
Head & Neck Cancer Surgery
Specialized surgical procedures to remove cancerous tumors from the head and neck region. May involve removal of the tumor and surrounding tissue, lymph node dissection, and reconstruction. Often part of a multidisciplinary treatment approach.
Sleep & Breathing Procedures
-
Snoring & Sleep Apnea Treatment
Various interventions to address snoring and sleep apnea, including CPAP therapy, oral appliances, or surgical procedures. Treatment is personalized based on the severity of the condition and patient-specific factors.
-
Pillar Procedure
A minimally invasive treatment for snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea. Small implants are placed in the soft palate to reduce tissue vibration and collapse. The procedure can be performed in-office with local anesthesia.
-
Palate Surgery
Surgical procedures to modify the soft palate to treat snoring and sleep apnea. May include techniques like palatoplasty or palatal advancement to reduce airway obstruction during sleep. Various approaches target different anatomical issues.
-
Tongue Base Reduction
Procedures to reduce the size of the tongue base in patients where it contributes to airway obstruction during sleep. May involve radiofrequency ablation, partial resection, or other techniques to create more space in the airway.
-
Home Sleep Study
A diagnostic test performed in the comfort of your home to evaluate for sleep disorders like sleep apnea. Monitoring equipment records breathing patterns, oxygen levels, and other parameters during sleep to guide treatment decisions.
